Fire, Faith, and a Fresh Start: Life Church Relaunches March 22

Waynesville is no stranger to seasons of change.

 

This March, Life Church is marking one of its own.

 

On March 22, the church will officially relaunch under a renewed vision centered on three core commitments: Faith, Community, and Compassion. Leaders describe the moment not as a reinvention, but as a clarifying season — one aimed at strengthening identity, rebuilding trust, and reconnecting intentionally with the community.

 

Pastor Jared Lilly calls the initiative “Revive & Rebuild,” a phrase that captures the heart behind the effort.

 

“We’re not trying to become something flashy,” Lilly said. “We’re working to become clear — clear about what we believe, clear about who we are, and clear about how we serve Waynesville.”

 

Rather than focusing on a single Sunday, Life Church is building toward March 22 through a series of March gatherings designed to reflect different aspects of that vision.

 

The month begins on March 1 at 6 PM with Celebration Night, an evening of hymns, Southern gospel music, and testimonies honoring the church’s history and God’s faithfulness over the years.

 

On March 8, the focus shifts outward with a Family Experience beginning at 4 PM, featuring more than 100 hands-on science projects for families to explore together. At 6 PM, the evening continues with The Amazing Chemistry Show, a nationally traveling science-based presentation that blends live experiments with practical life lessons.

 

The show, created by Josh Denhart, has traveled across the country for years and in 2025 alone hosted approximately 100 events between Denhart and Lilly. It has appeared in schools, camps, and churches nationwide, making its appearance at Life Church part of a broader outreach effort that extends well beyond Haywood County.

 

On March 15 at 6 PM, the church will host Worship Night — an evening dedicated to prayer and extended worship as the congregation prepares spiritually for Relaunch Sunday.

 

The month culminates on March 22 at 10:30 AM with Relaunch Sunday, which church leaders describe as a moment of renewed direction rather than a marketing launch.

 

Life Church, located at 601 Westwood Circle, has been part of the Waynesville community for decades. The relaunch represents an intentional effort to clarify mission and recommit to serving the town in tangible ways.
