The Holler is Off To A Strong Start

What's Next?

When we launched The Haywood Holler, the goal was simple: create a place where Haywood County could share what’s happening across our community.

In just a short time, the response has been incredible.

We’ve already reached more than 500 local subscribers, readers have started sending story ideas and press releases, and local businesses have stepped up asking how they can support the Holler and reach local readers.

That tells us something important:

Haywood County wants a place to share its stories.

And that’s exactly what we’re building.

Now Accepting Community Submissions

The Holler works best when it reflects the whole community, not just what we happen to stumble across. If you have something happening in Haywood County, we’d love to hear about it.

You can now submit:

• Community events
• Local fundraisers
• School announcements
• Press releases
• Good news stories
• Nonprofit updates
• Community initiatives

Submissions help us highlight the people, organizations, and events that make Haywood County special.

Event listings are always free, and we review submissions regularly for upcoming newsletters.

You can submit stories or events anytime at:

thehaywoodholler.com

Join The Holler Community

Many readers have also asked for a place to share updates, events, and local happenings between newsletters.

So we’ve launched a new Facebook group:

The Haywood Holler Community

It’s a place where readers can share:

• Local events
• Community announcements
• Good news from around Haywood County
• Photos and updates from around the community

Think of it as the front porch of the Holler — a place for the community to share what’s happening while the newsletter highlights the best stories each week.

You can find and join the group by searching “The Haywood Holler Community” on Facebook.

Opportunities for Local Businesses

Several local businesses have also asked how they can support the Holler while connecting with local readers.

We’re now offering a few simple options for businesses who want to promote events, share their story, or support local community coverage.

These include:

Featured event promotion for upcoming events
Business spotlight articles
Founding Partner sponsorships for businesses who want to support the newsletter long-term

To celebrate the launch of the Holler, we’re inviting a small group of local businesses to become Founding Partners.

Only 10 Founding Partner spots will be available during this early phase.

Founding Partners help support local storytelling while receiving ongoing recognition in the newsletter as the Holler continues to grow.

Businesses interested in sponsorship options can find more information at: thehaywoodholler.com

Building Something Local Together

The Haywood Holler is still just getting started, but the early response has been encouraging.

This project only works if it reflects the people, events, and stories of our community.

Thanks to everyone who has already subscribed, shared the newsletter, sent story ideas, and encouraged the project along the way.

If you haven’t already, feel free to share the Holler with a friend — and if you’ve got something happening in Haywood County, don’t hesitate to send it our way.

Let’s keep the Holler echoing.
